DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION OF A DIGITAL SPEEDOMETER
CHAPTER ONE
1.0 Introduction
1.1 Background Of The Study
The dashboard instrument cluster in a car organizes a variety of sensors and gauges, including the oil pressure gauge, coolant temperature gauge, fuel level gauge, tachometer and more. But the most prominent gauge and perhaps the most important, at least in terms of how many times you look at it while driving is the speedometer.
The job of the speedometer is to indicate the speed of a car in miles per hour, kilometers per hour or both. Even in late-model cars, it's an analog device that uses a needle to point to a specific speed, which the driver reads as a number printed on a dial.
As with any emerging technology, the first speedometers were expensive and available only as options. It wasn't until 1910 that automobile manufacturers began to include the speedometer as standard equipment. One of the first speedometer suppliers was Otto Schulze Auto meter (OSA), a legacy company of Siemens VDO Automotive AG, one of the leading developers of modern instrument clusters.
The first OSA speedometer was built in 1923 and its basic design didn't change significantly for 60 years. In this project report, high lights will be on the history of speedometers, how they work and digitalization of speedometer, add-on speed checker, and what the future may hold for speedometer design, below is a pictorial overview of a speedometer.

But lack of space may not allow me for detailed discussion and analysis. However, all essential part of the role of Grassroot administration in economic and social development of rural areas in Nigeria are discussed. In chapter one, I discussed the background the problem of the study, the scope, some research questions and research hypothesis, significant and some definition of terms. In chapter two, contains review of related literature, local government, social and economic development process, characteristics of rural area and the history of local government. Furthermore, chapter three contains research design, area of the population and sample size. Instrument for data collection validation …
Can this topic “Growth and Development of Mushin Local Government Area of Lagos State (1976-2013)” be used for History Project?
Yes it can be utilized for research — Mushin is a Local Government Area in Lagos. It is located 10 km north of the city core, adjacent to the main road to Ikeja, and is largely a congested residential area with inadequate sanitation and low-quality housing. It had 633,009 inhabitants at the 2006 Census. The objective of the research is to examine the growth and development of Mushin Local Government administration. Indeed, many works have been written on local government, but none has specifically been concentrated on Mushin Local Government. This work will therefore be focusing on a neglected area. The case study will highlight the growth and development of Mushin Local Government administration. This research work shall draw heavily from secondary sources such as textbooks, journals, periodicals, …
Is the topic “Uli in Mgboko-Odobo Festival” recommended for Fine Arts Project?
Yes it is highly recommended — The aim of any visual communication design is to satisfy the aesthetic and sensational view of the public. As such the study highlights only on the Uli design in Mgboko Odobo Festival, with Aku Community as a case study. We also examines the application of Aku Uli motifs in the production of sketches and painting for promoting aesthetics, communication practices and practices and cross cultural integration. The research also focuses on the needs for the education of members of the public to accept and continue the practice of uli decoration. This is because it creates room for community consciousness and togetherness. The research also emphasizes on the need to document as a matter of urgency the uli art as a tradition of …
