EMERGING TECHNOLOGIES IN CYBER-PHYSICAL NETWORKS

ABSTRACT

Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS) will revolutionize how humans relate with the physical world around us. Many grand challenges await the economically vital domains of transportation, health-care, manufacturing, agriculture, energy, defence, aerospace and buildings. Exploration of these potentialities around space and time would create applications which would affect societal and economic benefit.

This paper looks into the concept of emerging Cyber-Physical system, applications and security issues in sustaining development in various economic sectors; outlining a set of strategic Research and Development opportunities that should be accosted, so as to allow upgraded CPS to attain their potential and provide a wide range of societal advantages in the future.

CHAPTER ONE

Introduction

1.1 Background of the study

A cyber-physical (CPS) is a system in which a mechanism is controlled or monitored by computer-based algorithms. In cyber-physical systems, physical and software components are deeply intertwined, able to operate on different spatial and temporal scales, exhibit multiple and distinct behavioral modalities, and interact with each other in ways that change with context.

Cyber-physical systems (CPS) are physical and engineering systems whose operations are monitored, coordinated, controlled and integrated by a computing and communication core. The Nanoworld to large-scale wide-area systems of systems would display the close arrangement between the cyber and physical (Ragunathan, Insup, Lui, & John, 2010). The web changed how people connect and speak with each other, upset how and where data is gotten, and even changed how individuals purchase and offer items. Likewise, CPS will change how people communicate with and control the physical world around us.

Use cases of CPS incorporate medical devices and systems, aviation systems, transportation vehicles and smart expressways, mechanical frameworks, process control, industrial facility automation, building and natural control and smart spaces. CPS cooperate with the physical world, and must work reliably, securely, safely, and effectively and progressively.

CHAPTER TWO

Can the material for “The Rate and Causes of Infant Mortality” be used as a guide for Public Health Project?

Yes it can be used — This study investigated the rate and causes of infant mortality. The study was carried out in Irrua Teaching Hospital, Edo state, Nigeria. A reconnaissance survey was carried out in order to identify the various locations of hospitals in the LGAs. During the reconnaissance survey, oral interviews were carried out on women of child bearing age. Purposive sampling technique was used to select the study area, with up to date medical records of infant and child mortality. Stepwise Regression Analysis was used to model the spatial pattern of these changes in the mortality trend of Edo State. A total of 386 questionnaires were retrieved out of 400 questionnaires administered on 400 respondents (96.5%). The major findings of the study reveal that major …

Can the material for “Design and Implementation of a Computerized Transcript Management System” be used as a guide for Computer Science (CS) Project?

Yes it can be used — Students’ transcript is the summary of each of the two-year performance either in (OND) ordinary National Diploma or (HND) higher national diploma. The aim of this study is to design and implement a Computerized Transcript Management System. In achieving this aim, the following specific objectives were laid out as follows to design and develop an application software that will record and reports of students will be easily retrieved with increased data security, and reduce in the amount of resources, which in turn will lower the cost of processing of student’s transcripts, since information will be stored in a database with reduced data Redundancy. The motivation that led to the implementation of the proposed system is as a result of the …

Is the topic “Privatization of University Education and Quality Service Delivery in Southwest Nigeria” recommended for Education Project?
