Can the material for “The Prevalence of Streptococcus Pneumonia Patients” be used as a guide for Microbiology Project?

Yes it can be used — The prevalence of streptococcus pneumonia in pneumonia patients using university of Nigeria Teaching Hospital (UNTH) Enugu as a case study was carried out based on the fact of the pneumonia is one of the commonest afflictions of the aged people and children worldwide. A total of 50 samples were collected. 12 (24%) of the sample were from sputum while 38 (76%) were from nasopharyned swabs from children who can not produce sputum using sterilized disposable swab sticks. 12 (24%) of the patients were adults and 38 (76%) were children under the age of the. 29 (58%) of the patients were made while 21 (42%) were female. The population of the study consist of (120) senior staff of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN). (120) copies of questionnaire were distributed to senior staff of Central …

Can the material for “Plasminogen Stimulates Formation of Pathogenic Prion Clumps” be used as a guide for Economics Project?

Yes it can be used — Prion diseases are associated with the conversion of the normal prion protein, PrPC, to the infectious disease form PrPSc. Discrimination between these isoforms would significantly enhance diagnosis of these diseases, and it has recently been reported that PrPSc is specifically recognized by the serine protease zymogen plasminogen (Fischer et al. (2000) Nature 408, 479). Here we have tested the hypothesis that PrP is a regulator of the plasminogen activation system. The effect of recombinant PrP, either containing copper (holo-PrP) or devoid of it (apo-PrP), on plasminogen activation by both uPA and tPA was determined. PrP had no effect on plasminogen activation by uPA. By contrast, the activity of tPA was stimulated by up to 280-fold. This was observed only with …

Can the material for “Antibacterial and antioxidant activities of peanut oil of a selected enterobacteriaceae” be used as a guide for Microbiology Project?

Yes it can be used — Peanut processing for a variety of edible products (peanut butter, milk, roasted snack peanuts, peanut oil and other value added products) is being done in various developed, as well as developing countries. Peanut skins are low value by-products of peanut blanching and roasting operations; and are currently used as an ingredient of animal ration up to a certain limit. Total phenolics of peanut oil obtained by different methods were estimated; the effect of different solvents on extractability of total phenolic compounds has also been evaluated. The effect of peanut oil extract, possessing highest phenolics and DPPH radical scavenging activity, was evaluated by schaal oven test in the peanut oil, while oxidative stability of mustard oil was evaluated by Rancimat method. …

They became the first ever group of plants on earth's surface showing the presence of well-developed vascular system, thereby, playing an important link in the evolution from cryptogams (algae and bryophytes) to phanerogams (gymnosperms and angiosperms). Though they have largely been replaced by seed plants in the course of evolution, they continue to form an important part of vegetation today and can be found distributed in a wide range of habitats in the moist tropical and temperate forests in the world. The pteridophytes being moisture and shade …
