Introduction
1.1 Le concept de l’entrepreneuriat
L’entreprise est une affaire commerciale ou industrielle ; unité économique de production et l’entrepreneur est le chef d’une entreprise de btiment ou de travaux publics. (Le Petite Larousse Illustré, 1997). L’entrepreneur est défini comme étant une personne ou groupes de personnes qui crée, développe et implante une entreprise dont il assume les risques, et qui met en œuvre des moyens financiers, humains et matériels pour en assurer le succès et pour réaliser un profit.
L’entrepreneuriat, un concept développé par l’économiste Joseph Schumpeter en 1950 a de nos jours le vent en poupe sur le continent africain. Au lancement portant sur le social business en 2006, Muhammad Yunus, professeur économiste et prix Nobel de la paix a déclaré que l’entrepreneuriat serait le dé du développement de l’Afrique.
La compréhension que nous avons de l’entrepreneuriat doit beaucoup à l’économiste Joseph Schumpeter (1950)
«Une entrepreneur est une personne qui veut et qui est capable de transformer une idée ou une invention en une innovation réussie. L’entrepreneuriat conduit à une «destruction créatrice» dans les marchés et les secteurs de l’économie parce que de nouveaux produits et modèles économiques arrivent et remplacent les anciens. Ainsi, la destruction créatrice est à l’origine du dynamisme industriel et de la croissance à long terme.
Paturel (2007) propose une définition syncrétique de l’entrepreneuriat celui-ci
«À partir d’une idée, l’exploitation d’une opportunité dans le cadre d’une organisation impulsée, créée de toute pièce ou reprise dans un premier temps puis développée ensuite, par une personne physique seule ou en équipe qui subit un changement important dans sa vie, selon un processus qui aboutit à la création d’une valeur nouvelle ou à l’économie de gaspillage de valeur existante»
Le livre vert intitulé «l’esprit d’entreprise en Europe (2003b, p. 7) donne la définition suivant :
«L’esprit d’entreprise désigne un état d’esprit ainsi que le processus de création et de développement de l’activité économique par la combinaison de la prise de risque, de la créativité et/ou de l’innovation et d’une saine gestation, dans une organisation nouvelle ou existante»
En dépit des différences de définition. Il est couramment admis que l’esprit d’entreprise est une force motrice.
Nombreux sont les économistes, les gouvernements et les organisations internationales qui sont du même avis et essayent de tout mettre à l’œuvre pour développer le Nigéria tout en passant par l’entrepreneuriat.
L’entrepreneuriat peut jouer un rôle important dans la croissance économique d’un pays mais pour atteindre cet objectif, les gouvernements, les preneurs de décisions et les organisations nationales/internationales qui sont du même avis doivent se focaliser sur certains point vitaux. La promotion de l’entrepreneuriat, l’instauration d’un environnement favorable à la création d’entreprise, facilitent l’accès au financement et assurent la survie des entreprises.
Caractéristiques de l’entrepreneuriat
− Il y a un leader, l’entrepreneur, qui est force motrice à l’origine des faits économiques.
− Dans l’esprit de cet entrepreneur il y a une vision de l’avenir qui est préférable à celle de l’état présent.
− La tolérance à l’ambiguïté, la confiance et l’optimisme: l’ambigüité est inhérente au phénomène entrepreneurial. Rien n’est écrit par avance et les surprises sont inévitables. L’avenir est par essence, incertain et indéterminables ou inconnu. La confiance, d’abord en soi et l’optimisme permettent de tolérer l’ambigüité, mais il subsiste toujours des espaces incontrôlables ou inconnus.
− La perception et l’estimation des risques : pratiquement il est généralement reconnu qu’un entrepreneur sait s’engager personnellement la où d’autres ne s’y risqueraient pas. Le projet de création d’entreprise s’insère dans un environnement organisationnel, social, culturel, économique, plus ou mois favorable une des caractéristiques clés de la situation considérée est l’existence de la perception d’un degré d’incertitude plus ou moins élevé (lié à l’intensité du changement pour l’individu et pour l’environnement).
− La créativité: la créativité se révèle et s’apprend par des méthodes aujourd’hui éprouvées. Elle est à la base de tout le processus d’innovation.
− La capacité de convaincre et de communiquer : l’exercice de conviction est permanent. Il faut convaincre les possesseurs de ressources d’adhérer au projet d’entreprendre en apportant leurs concours. L’échange de valeur place l’entrepreneur en perpétuelle positon de négociation et ses qualités en termes de communication s’avèrent importante.
− La capacité de conduire l’organisation et l’équipe vers le futur souhaite:
L’entrepreneur doit présenter des qualités de leadership. Le leader est celui sachant justement guider les autres, qu’il aura acquis à sa cause, vers l’atteinte des buts et objectifs.
− Une focalisation sur les opportunités d’affaires :
Avant de se préoccuper des ressources, de la stratégie et de la configuration organisationnelle nécessaire à la réalisation de celle-ci, tout entrepreneur a détecté ou construit une opportunité d’affaires, et ses actions, ses buts et ses objectifs sont orientes ver l’exploitation de cette opportunité.
− L’ouverture d’esprit et les capacités d’apprentissage: Il n’est pas difficile d’imaginer qu’un créateur entreprenant pour la première fois doit apprendre beaucoup durant les premières années de son entreprise. Outre ses capacités intrinsèques à l’apprentissage, son ouverture d’esprit, sa curiosité et sa capacité d’écoute le serviront.
1.2 La problématique
L’Économie du Nigéria dépend largement de l’exportation et la vente du pétrole, une ressource naturelle trouvée dans le pays. Malheureusement, d’autres secteurs de l’économie, tels que le secteur agricole, le secteur artisanal, le secteur industriel, le secteur touristique (le tourisme) sont mal développes ou complètement abandonnés. Cet état de choses pose un grand problème parce que la chute du prix du pétrole peut engendrer une crise économique dans le pays, ce qui est en fait la situation actuelle dans le pays. Pour sauver l’économie du pays, les entreprises privées doivent contribuer leur quote-part.
1.3 Objectif du travail
Les objectifs de ce travail sont les suivants:
Établir le rôle des entreprises au développement du Nigéria
Déterminer l’état de l’économie du Nigéria
Mettre à jour quelques grandes entreprises privées qui ont beaucoup contribué au développement économique du pays.
Étudier les défis et les problèmes principaux qui empêchent l’établissement et le succès des entreprises privées.
Donner des suggestions et recommandations pour assurer le succès des entreprises au Nigéria.
1.4 Delimitation du travail
Nous voudrions dans ce travail limité à l’importance de l’entrepreneuriat du point du vue économique.
1.5 Méthodologie adoptée
Pour mieux aborder ce sujet, nous avons utilisé la méthodologie d’étude de cas Narrative textuels (NTCS), qui est préféré en raison de l’absence de données séquentielles liées à l’entrepreneuriat et la croissance économique durable au Nigéria. NTCS est une méthode de recherche en sciences sociales qui emploie intensivement les informations, les données et documents scolaires mis à disposition et facilement accessible dans l’internet, intranet, WorldWideWeb, les bases de données en ligne, e-bibliothèques et cetera. Le choix de cette méthode est informé par le fait que NTCS combine l’utilisation de l’observation quantitative et qualitative, analyse du contenu du texte et des statistiques officielles disponibles dans des proportions différentes pour la résolution de problèmes ou d’un problème d’identification en fonction des objectifs de la recherche. Cette étude est fondamentalement non-empirique, mais plutôt descriptive, puisque les informations sont collectées sans changer l’environnement. Nous avons utilisé la technique statistique appropriée, composée de simples pourcentages dans l’analyse pour le rôle de l’esprit d’entreprise sur la croissance et le développement au Nigéria.
Les graphiques ont également été utilises pour présenter les données pour la compréhension plus significative.
1.6 Repartition du travail
Nous avons divisé ce travail en quatre chapitres. Le premier chapitre comprend l’introduction, la définition des mots clés, la délimitation du travail et l’approche méthodologique. Le chapitre deux présente quelques grandes entreprises nigérianes et leurs contributions au développement. Le chapitre trois va traiter les défis et problèmes des entreprises privées. Le quatrième chapitre donne la conclusion et nos recommandations.
