A STUDY OF THE CONSEQUENCES OF TERRORIST ACTIVITY AND SAFETY AWARENESS ON LONG-TERM PEACE

ABSTRACT

The study was carried out to identify the Consequences of Terrorist Activity and Safety Awareness on Long-Term Peace in Lokoja Local Government Area of Kogi State 2015-2021. In achieving this aim, the following specific objectives were laid out to establish why terrorism is inevitable despite the collective state efforts and identify the factors influencing terrorist activities between the period of 2015 to 2021. Investigation revealed that terrorists’ activities weaken state's ability to provide peace to its citizens. Women, children and men have all suffered the consequences of terrorism. Also, the damage of infrastructure is impulsive to an extent that billions of dollars are wasted in rebuilding structures. The research design used in this report is descriptive design, utilizing questionnaire method to obtain information from the respondents for this project. Primary data were collected from the primary source which questionnaire was used as an instrument of data collection while secondary data were sources from textbooks, journals, newspapers and the internet were employed. The data were presented on a frequency distribution table and analyzed using simple percentage, while hypothesis was tested using chi-square test. The present study hypothesized that terrorism negatively affect collective effort towards the maintenance of peace and security. The research findings will be of great significance to the world and regional organizations concerned with world peace, educationists, security and state institutions, concerned with tackling terrorism. Based on the findings, it was recommended that there is need to observe human rights and all protocols relating to the protection of civilians. Without observance of human rights then the humans will continue to suffer. Can the material for “Waterproofing Plant; Sensing, Signaling and Response” be used as a guide for Microbiology Project?

Yes it can be used — Waterproofing is the process of making an object or structure water-resistant so that it remains relatively unaffected by water or resisting the ingress of water under specified conditions. The purpose of the study is to determine the Waterproofing Plant, which is centered on the Sensing, Signaling and Response of Plant. During complete submergence, plants experience a strong decline in energy and carbon availability. This is due to reduced photosynthesis, either through a lack of light or a reduced rate of CO2 diffusion, and due to impaired respiration through reduced oxygen availability. Data were collected from the primary source which questionnaire was used as an instrument of data collection while secondary data were sources from textbooks, journals, newspapers and the internet …
